We are delighted to have you here. On this page you will find everything you need for a relaxing stay – from breakfast to the Roman bath. If anything is missing: our reception is the quickest way to an answer. Just call from your room.
Arrival and departure
Departure. We kindly ask you to vacate your room by 12.00 noon on the day of departure. We are happy to store your luggage for you free of charge afterwards.
Luggage. On arrival, when changing rooms or before departure: just contact reception, we are happy to help. Storage is also free of charge.
Bus. Right in front of the hotel, line 3 towards Baden railway station stops at the “Grosse Bäder” stop. Other stops nearby: “Freihof” below the Grand Casino and “Schiefe Brücke” in Ennetbaden.
Parking. You can park at a reduced rate in the spa car park right next to the FORTYSEVEN° wellness thermal baths – just a few steps from the hotel. Bring your ticket to reception and we will validate it for CHF 19.– per night.
Baden City Ticket. With the City Ticket you can travel free of charge by bus and train in the Baden region during your stay. Ask for it free of charge at reception.
On site
Reception. We are here for you from 07.00 to 22.30. Enquiries, tips, reservations, adapters, toiletries: just let us know.
Internet. The Wi-Fi is free throughout the building. You can obtain the password at reception.
Adapter. Adapters for other plug systems are available at reception – against a deposit of CHF 20.–.
Toiletries. Reception has disposable razors, toothbrushes and toothpaste ready for you in case you have forgotten something.
Pillows. Synthetic, millet or new wool – let us know what you prefer and we will be happy to swap it for you.
Extra blanket. A wool blanket or a second duvet is available at any time on request at reception.
Linen change. You will receive fresh towels if you place the used ones on the bathroom floor. Otherwise we change them every three to four days – out of consideration for water and resources.
Guest laundry. We wash and iron in-house. Standard within 24 hours, express in 12 hours for a surcharge of CHF 5.– if handed in before 09.00.
Smoking. The entire hotel is non-smoking – including rooms, restaurant, atrium and Belle Époque hall. You will find an ashtray in front of the hotel entrance. If smoking takes place in a room, we have to charge for a special cleaning of CHF 150.–.
Food and drink
Breakfast. Mon–Sat 06.45–10.00 / Sun 07.30–10.00. Generous buffet, in the atrium or Belle Époque hall.
Lunch. 11.30–13.30. Seasonal lunch, menu changes weekly.
Dinner. 18.00–21.00. À la carte with classics from our own kitchen and wines from our own vineyard.
Reservations at reception or directly in the restaurant.
Wellness and Spa
Spa and Sauna. Our spa with Finnish sauna, bio sauna, steam bath and experience shower is open daily from 08.00 to 22.00. Reservations at reception, and we will provide you with a sauna towel. The sauna area is mixed and clothing-free.
Roman bath. Our own thermal baths on the lower floor enchant with the most mineral-rich thermal water in Switzerland – warm from our own spring. Please reserve appointments in advance at reception.
Massages. Just the thing after a bath. Partial body 25 minutes for CHF 60.–, full body 50 minutes for CHF 100.–. Reservation required.
Drinking water in the room
In your room, a personal bottle is provided for each guest – a reusable borosilicate glass bottle, sturdy, light and with a wide opening.
Our contribution to sustainability.
We have banned single-use PET from our rooms. Every year in Switzerland, millions of PET bottles enter the cycle – there is another way. Our glass bottle is free from harmful substances, BPA-free, flavour-neutral and durable. Thanks to its wide opening, it can be cleaned thoroughly – between every stay it goes through our hygiene process.
Refill.
At any tap in the BLUME. The drinking water in Baden is of excellent quality, comes from the springs of the Limmat Valley and is one of the most strictly monitored foods in Switzerland. Would you prefer sparkling? Bring the bottle to reception and we will be happy to refill it with carbonation.
Use.
Take the bottle with you wherever you go during your stay: into town, to the Limmat, to a meeting, to work.
Borrowed, not given.
During your stay, the bottle is your companion. On departure, please leave it in the room – otherwise we will have to charge you for it. Would you like to buy a bottle and take it home as a keepsake? With pleasure, just ask us at reception.

I come from Switzerland’s largest village – Wettingen – and still live there today. At BLUME., together with my brother Patrik, I am something like the hotel’s ringmaster. I trained as a certified chef, certified service professional, and graduated hotelier/restaurateur. When I am not working, you will find me by, in, or on the water – or in the forest, always accompanied by my dog. My motto: “Good food always includes either meat or something from the water.”

I grew up on a hillside in Wettingen and am a host with heart and soul. Since 2002, I have been running BLUME. together with my brother Silvio. I love discovering the world, but I also deeply appreciate my home – and in my free time, I especially enjoy quiet places.
